Christ Church Lisburn
The paradox of Good Friday and Easter Sunday are so evident this year as we continue in this
lockdown with Covid-19. However, I have been heartened by stories of parishioners seeking to
connect with Jesus and one another in a number of ways despite not been able to meet together.
The Sunday services are on You Tube as well as through the links on our Facebook page or parish
What’s App. If you know of someone who isn’t connected to these social media platforms, forward
them details or get them to contact me or Derek. If someone doesn’t use social media, maybe drop
them a letter or note to express your concern and love for them.
Thank you for your continued support of the parish and as we reflect on Christ’s death and
suffering for us at Calvary, remember in prayer all who are suffering and the bereaved. We give
thanks for the sacrifice of many in our society to keep us safe. We pray for the light and hope of the
resurrection to permeate the darkness, uncertainty and fear. Pray for all in government and in our
health service in managing and caring for people at this time.
Keep loving one another and contact people. Keep the routines for each day to balance the
physical, emotional and spiritual. Keep close to Jesus in prayer.
May we know the presence, peace and hope of the risen Jesus.
